Copy of Vehicle Registration Certificate - Vehicle - JPJ Portal

Starting 21th June 2010, application for issuance of copies for Vehicle Registration Certificate can only be done by the registered owner of the vehicle or officers from government agencies with the proper authority or next of kin.

The documents that are required to be submitted are:-

1.     Application by Registered Owner

• A copy of Ownership Grant Checklist
• Two (2)copies of completed   JPJ K7 Form
• Original identification document for verification.
• Letter from a financial institution should there is a claim of ownership of less than 2 years (motorcycles only)
• Fees that have been set.

2.     Representative appeared on behalf of the registered owner

• A copy of Ownership Grant Checklist
• Two (2)copies of completed   JPJ K7 Form
• Authorized officer of a Government Agency / Company / Organization must submit an official letter from the Government / Company / Organization;
• Authorization letter from the financial institution if the vehicle has a claim ownership of less than 2 years (motorcycles only);
• Fees that have been set.

3.     Application by a Next of Kin

• A copy of Grant Form Checklist
• Two (2)copies of completed   JPJ K7 Form
• Copy of identification document of the vehicle's registered owner;
• Copy of identification document of the next of kin;
• Supporting documents as evidence that the registered owner of the vehicle is not able to present himself for the consideration of the State or an Authorised officer;
• Supporting documents as proof of relationship with the registered owner of the vehicle;
• If the registered owner of the vehicle has died, the JPJK7 Form must be signed by a next of kin set by the Court or Small Estate / Executor / Executrix / Administrator who has been appointed by the Court in the Letter of Administration (Grant Letter of Administration) or Grant of Probate / Trust;
• Authorization letter from the financial institution if the vehicle has a claim ownership of less than 2 years (motorcycles only);
• Fees that have been set.
