1. Who is allowed to register and use the JPJeBid portal?

The following categories are public/ Business/ Company (SYT) that are allowed to enroll in JPJeBid Portal:

- Individual: Malaysian Citizen and Malaysian Permanent Resident (PTM) aged 18 years and above.
- Business/ Company: Business/ Company registered.
- Professional Organizations and Cooperatives: is only allowed to those who already have records in MySIKAP System.
- Government Agencies / Local Authorities/ Statutory Bodies/ United Nations/ Embassy/ Office of the High Commissioner/ International Organization/ Regional Offices: is only allowed to those who already have records in MySIKAP System.
- Non-citizens: is only allowed to those who already have records in MySIKAP System. The latest passport serial number will need to be updated by non-citizens if the expiration date of the previous passport has expired at any State office or JPJ branch except UTC.

2. What are the requirements for registering and using the JPJeBid portal?

Individual / Business / Company / Non-citizens / Organization / Co-operative / Professional Agency / Government Agency / Local Authority / Semi Government Agency / United Nations / Embassy / High Commissioner's Office / International Organization / Regional Offices that are eligible must have a record or transaction within the MySIKAP System.

3. How do I get an ID to enable me to register and use the JPJeBid portal?

a. Individual/ Business / Company who do not have a record or transaction with the MySIKAP System must register at any State office and JPJ branch except UTC in advance. Please submit a copy of the identification document by category:

i. Individual:

A copy of identity card / birth certificate / provisional identification residence that is still valid

ii. Single proprietor business or partnership:

- A copy of Business Registration Certificate – Form D (company name, owner information and information); or

- A copy of Business License (Sabah and Sarawak only)

- Representative letter of the company if the company representative is present to register.

iii. Sdn. Bhd :

- A copy of Form 9 or Form 13 and Form 49 or Section 58.

- Representative letter of the company if the company representative is present to register

\Please make sure you have received a confirmation email from the JPJeBid System before reaching the JPJeBid Portal.

\A confirmation link will be sent to the user's email and must be confirmed within 30 minutes before the JPJeBid account is activated.

\If verification is not done within the stipulated period the registration is considered void and the new registration needs to be repeated.

b. Non-citizens / Organization / Co-operative / Professional Agency / Government Agency / Local Authority / Semi Government Agency / United Nations / Embassy / High Commissioner's Office / International Organization / Regional Offices without a record are not available to create a new registration for JPJeBid.

4. What type of email is appropriate to use when registering on the JPJebid portal?

JPJeBid portal public or users are advised to use **active Yahoo and Gmail type** emails to facilitate receiving any notifications from the JPJeBid System.

5. What about the security of user information if an registration exists without the knowledge of the user who wants to sign up?

The security of user information registered on the JPJeBid portal is the responsibility of the user himself. In the event of unauthorized registration, the user is advised to file a police report and send us a copy via JPJeBid Portal complaint email for further action.

6. What if personal information changes after registration is made on the JPJeBid portal?

Only email and phone number** renewal information can be updated in the JPJeBid user profile menu. If there is a change in other personal information, users need to go to the State office and JPJ branch except UTC to update the information.

7. Is the appropriate browser to use JPJeBid portal?

The public or users of the JPJeBid portal are advised to use **Chrome Version 73, Internet Explorer 11, Android Version 6 or IOS 10 and above** browsers for better viewing.

8. What to do if access during the bidding process disrupted and does not run smoothly?

Users are advised to use a computer/laptop with a stable internet network.

9. What are the fees and charges charged for the bidding transaction?

RM 10.00 will be charged as a service charge for each registration number bidder. The tax is Government revenue and will not be refunded.

10. How long does the bidding period last for one (1) vehicle number?

The bidding period for one (1) series of vehicle registration numbers is open for 5 days and ends at 2200Hrs on the fifth (5) day. However, the Government can set or change the bidding period according to current requirements. Bidders can refer to the bid advertisements issued by JPJ.

Bid confirmation is valid for the duration of the bidding period and not at the time of bid payment approval by bank

\mYou are advice to bids earlier for ensuring process run smoothly. Avoid last minutes bids for avoiding payment interruption.

11. Does the bidders have to place a deposit?

No deposit is required but bidders must pay a minimum or more minimum price for each category of vehicle number bidding for the first time.

12. How are bid prices calculated?

Each vehicle number requires a minimum payment according to the schedule below:

i) Each bidder's first bid amount must equal or exceed the minimum price set by category.

ii) The minimum bid increment (top-up) is according to the number category with no limit for the maximum increase:

  • 5% increment of the minimum price amount on the first day to 30 minutes before the bidding ends.
  • 10% increment of the minimum price amount on the first day to 30 minutes before the bidding ends.

13. What is the limit to bid?

There is no limit to bid. However, each bidder category has the limit of qualification to be the winner. Here are the limits to becoming a winner by bidding category:

14. Can the bidder withdraw or cancle the bid?

NO. Bidders are not allowed to withdraw or cancle bids for all bidding transactions that have been made.

15. Will the bidders receive any alerts during the bid period?

Yes, all activities involving the registration number of the bidding vehicle will be updated in the inbox.

16. When will the bid result be announced?

The bid decision will be announced a within 24 hours after bids closed depends your bank transaction.

17. How to find out official result if the bidder has won/failed bid?

The system administrator will send the official result whether win or lose to all bidders via e-mail registered and in the JPJeBid account inbox.

18. How do I pay bids?

Bidders can only make bidding payments by local credit card / local debit card (Malaysia Issuer) only.

19. Can bidding use more than one credit card / debit card while creating additional bids?

Bidders can use more than one credit card / debit card to make additional bids.

20. What happens to the bid amount if the bid is successful?

Cancellation of the transaction by the bank will be made and the amount will be credited back to the bidding credit card / debit card. No charge will be charged.

21. What happens to the bid amount if the bid is unsuccesful?

22. How long is the bid settlement period if the bidding bid does not work?

The amount of payment settlement will be credited to bidder credit card / debit card whitin 7 to 30 working days depend on credit card / debit card (issuer bank).

23. If bidders are experiencing credit card / debit card issues such as rejection and refund transactions, who should be referred?

In the event of any problems involving a credit card / debit card, the bidders may continue to contact the issuer bank.

24. Where can Vehicle Registration be made?

Vehicle Registration can be made at all JPJ offices and branches except UTC. However, for the vehicle registration number allocated in the Tax Free Island (TFI) area must be registered at the JPJ branch of the TFI area only as stated and agreed in the terms and conditions of JPJeBid by the bidder. The series are:

i) "KV" series must be registered at JPJ Pulau Langkawi Branch.

ii) "L" series must be registered at JPJ Labuan Federal Territory Branch.

25. What are the Requirements for an Electric Vehicle Registration Number?

The Special Registration Number that begins with the index mark EV, is reserved for registering electric vehicles/Electric Vehicles (EVs) that use only electricity.

- Special Registration Number EV index mark will start to be adopted by all electric vehicles and the use of electric vehicle registration number will start with the index mark EV, EV__A, EV__B and so on.
- The purchase of a Special EV registration number through a successful bid on the JPJeBid System must be registered to electric vehicles only. Successful bids cannot be withdrawn.
- Application/Appeal for Special EV registration number to cancel the bid, cancel the decision and register to a vehicle other than fully electric is NOT ALLOWED. All service fee payments and successful bid amounts are Government revenues and will not be refunded.
- The Terms and Conditions of the special bid for this EV vehicle registration number are stipulated, effective and read together with the existing JPJeBid Terms and Conditions.

26. What documents to be brought to JPJ for the vehicle registration process after winning the bid ?

Winners or any of the winners' representatives can attend to the JPJ and need to bring the following documents:

i) Email Printed of Letter Of Successful Bid Result.

ii) Copy of Identity Card / Identity Copy of Company Identification

27. What is the last period for vehicle registration?

The final deadline for vehicle registration is 12 months from the date of the Letter of Offer.

28. What happens if a vehicle registration number is not done within 12 months from the date of the Letter of Offer?

The Offer Letter provided will be considered expired and invalid. Payment made will NOT be refunded and become Government revenue.

29. What happens if the bidders do not want to receive the registration number being won?

The vehicle registration number that was won will be withdrawn without notice after expiration and payment made will NOT be refunded and become Government revenue.

30. Is the number of vehicles to be won can be renamed?

The Vehicle number that was won by individual/passport category can be named changed to immediate family member such as parents / spouse / siblings / child only by submitting the birth certificate, marriage certificate and other related documents. While the number of vehicles to be won by company **CANNOT** be renamed before being registered to the vehicle.

31. Is the vehicle number to be won can be made an extension of the registration period?

Application for extended registration period is NOT allowed.

32. What should I do if my offer forgets my password to log in to the JPJeBid portal?

Bidders can reset the password by selecting the email registered in the following way:

i. Click Forgot Password' on login screen.

ii. Enter the registered email address.

iii. Insert Captcha.

iv. Click the send button.

v. Notification will be sent to bidder registered email and follow the nect instructions.
