Re-Use Vehicle Registration Number - Law - JPJ Portal

In accordance with the amendments to the Road Transport Act 1987, vehicle owners can reuse the registration number registered on vehicles that has been reported lost or stolen.

Reuse of Vehicle Registration Number Application Form.

Required documents:

    1.     A copy of the Application Form Reuse Vehicle Registration Number Who Have Lost Or Stolen [JPJK13 (pind.1.2011)] that have been completed; and

    2.     A copy of the police report on the missing vehicle.

Approval to reuse the vehicle registration numbers is also subjected to blacklist release by the Royal Malaysian Police. A fee of RM200 will be imposed when the numbers is registered on the new vehicles.
