JPJ Introduces Vehicle Ownership Certificate (VOC) To Replace Vehicle Registration Card (RC)
The Road Transport Department (JPJ) continues the transformation of the department by introducing the Vehicle Ownership Certificate (VOC) to replace the Vehicle Registration Card (RC) which will be implemented in stages in phases starting June 1, 2016. The introduction of VOC is still a registration certificate issued under the provision Road Transport Act 1987 which contains details of owners and vehicles.
However, in an effort to facilitate transactions with JPJ, the VOC introduced is no longer used as a document or instrument for matters such as Renewal of Motor Vehicle License (road tax), Change of Ownership, or Amendment of Information. VOC does not contain printed transaction records as found on RC, while data review is done directly with the JPJ database system.
