Rear Drawer Construction & Use Guide (Amendment 1/2015)
The Road Transport Department (JPJ) has stipulated that every addition to the vehicle panel structure that carries a load exceeding the length of the vehicle body must comply with the specifications set out in these guidelines to ensure that the construction of the structure is safe, orderly and according to standards.
Rear Drawer is a panel structure attached to the rear of the vehicle for vehicles that carry loads exceeding the length of the vehicle body and cannot be separated (rigid). Meanwhile, an additional steel structure (extension steel) is installed to support the weight and movement of the rear drawer either in static or dynamic conditions. The main purpose of this rear drawer installation is as a warning sign to other road users that this vehicle is carrying a long load.
Please refer to the guidelines in the attachment for more information.
