Vocational driving license renewal can be done at JPJ State/Branch, UTC and Counter 1JPJ.

Renewal conditions:

1. The renewal period allowed is 1 year only;
2. Not blacklisted;
3. Submit a medical report and the validity period of the medical report (JPJ Form L8) does not exceed one (1) year;
4. Competent Driver’s License (CDL) must be valid for more than one (1) year.

Required documents:

1. The original MyKad/Passport or a copy of the applicant’s MyKad/Passport if the transaction is done by a representative;
2. Self-identification of the representative;
3. Competent Driver’s License (CDL) original or copy;
4. Medical Officer’s health verification (Form JPJL8);
5. 1 color photo (white background) measuring 25mm x 32mm;
6. Payment RM20.00/year;
7. Hold a valid passport (Singapore citizens);

INFO: From 16 July 2013, for PDL and CDL applications at the JPJ office, applicants are given the option of either bringing their own color photo (size 25mm x 32mm) with a white background, taking a photo at the counter or using a photo from MyKad.

INFO: Based on section 29, Malaysian Road Transport Act (APJ) 1987, a driver’s license that expires and fails to be renewed within the prescribed period is automatically canceled as follows:

1. Probationary Driving License (PDL) expires more than 1 year.
2. Competent Driver’s License (CDL) expired more than 3 years ago.
3. Vocational License expires more than 3 years.
