In line with the amendment to the Road Transport Act 1987, vehicle owners can reuse the registration number once registered on a vehicle that has been reported lost or stolen.

Required documents:

1. A copy of the Application Form for Reusing the Registration Number of a Lost or Stolen Vehicle [JPJK13 (pind.1.2011)] which has been completed; and
2. Copy of Police report regarding lost vehicle.

Approval to reuse the registration number is also subject to blacklist clearance from the Royal Malaysian Police. A fee of RM200 will be charged when the registration number is registered on the new vehicle later.
