The Road Transport Department (JPJ) has made it mandatory for every vehicle panel structure conversion controlled by JPJ to apply for and obtain confirmation from JPJ first where the guidelines and conditions must be followed for the vehicle panel structure conversion application. The vehicle panel structure that is changed must comply with the following regulations:

Section 10(3)(a) – Road Transport Act 1987
Section 10(4) – Road Transport Act 1987
Section 12(1)(d) – Road Transport Act 1987
Method 94 – Motor Vehicle (Construction And Use) Rules 1959
