Expired Driving License Appeal Application
Application for an expired driving license appeal can be made online, by letter or in person at the State JPJ Office/branch only. An expired driving license involves:
- Probationary Driving License (PDL) for more than 1 year
- Competent Driver’s License (CDL) for more than 3 years
- Vocational Driving License (GDL/PSV) over 3 years
Ways of Application

- Appeal applications can be made at JPJ State/Branch Counters and Driver Licensing Division, JPJ Malaysia Headquarters.
- Submit a Copy of Identity Card/Passport And Driving License
- Application Results Can Be Checked Through Any State/Branch JPJ Or Printed “Online” After 14 Days From The Application Date.

- Making an Application Through an Online Transaction (Online) Through the Website That is Www.Jpj.Gov.My.
- Complete the Application Details in the Online Form.
- Application Results Can Be Checked Through Any State/Branch JPJ Or Printed “Online” After 14 Days From The Application Date.

The Director General of JPJ Malaysia has the authority to approve/reject appeals.
- If successful, the applicant is exempted from taking the Part 1 test and has to sit for Practical Tests II and III.
- If the application is unsuccessful, then the applicant is required to apply for a driver’s license as per the normal procedure.
