Application For Beacon Light Installation
Beacon Light is a multi-colored warning light and is categorized as an accessory component installed on the roof or top of a vehicle
The use of these lights is intended to warn other road users that they need to slow down, be careful and be alert while in the area.
According to rule 24 of the Motor Vehicle (Road Traffic) Rules 1959, only Police, Fire, Ambulance and JPJ vehicles are allowed to have the right of way (Priority Over Traffic) on any road in the country. However, according to Rule 138(1) of the Motor Vehicle Rules (construction and use) 1959, the Director General of JPJ Malaysia has the authority to exempt any vehicle from complying with any of the existing rules. Private use vehicles will not be allowed to install the device.
